Body Nurture is back!!

Good News at last……

From week commencing 12th April 2021 we can once again welcome one to one clients.

If the government staged return goes according to plan we will be able to hold group classes from Monday May 17th.

Watch this space!!

Easing out of Lockdown…….

STAGED RETURN

Hopefully we should be able to resume 121 sessions from 12th April – see excerpts below from government website taken this morning (24/2):

From 12/4

“Additional premises will be able to reopen but should only be visited alone or with household groups: nonessential retail; personal care premises such as hairdressers, salons and close contact services; and indoor leisure facilities such as gyms and spas (but not including saunas and steam rooms, which are due to open at Step 3)”

If any same household couples would like to attend a ‘duo’ session from 12/4 I am happy to consider this a ‘household group’.  Duo passes can be purchased in singles or in blocks of 4 or 6 and can be booked into any of my 121 sessions available on the timetable.  Only one of the duo needs to purchasse and book :-)

From 17/5

“Other indoor locations to open up in Step 3 include indoor entertainment venues such as cinemas and children’s play areas; the rest of the accommodation sector, including hotels, hostels and B&Bs; and indoor adult group sports and exercise classes

At Step 3, the Government will further ease limits on social contact, enabling the public to make informed personal decisions. It will remain important for people to consider the risks for themselves, taking into account whether they and those they meet have been vaccinated or are at greater risk.”

So if all goes according to plan we should be able to resume group mat and reformer classes from 17/5.  Hopefully the majority of us will have been vaccinated by then.

If the government does ease limits on social contact as above I may be able to increase the class capacity from 4 to 5 for mat Pilates and yoga, and to 6 in June/July (or earlier) as restrictions are lifted further.

NEW

Additional one to one sessions have been added to the time table for April and early May.

There are no sessions (including ZOOM) 30th April to 7th May as I should be away ………. fingers crossed.

Quite a few amendments have been made to the time table due to course/holiday cancellations – so you might find that previously unavailable sessions are now available.  I may be able to introduce even more additional 121 slots during April/early May if the need arises.

A list of Body Nurture’s holiday dates is available on the website at the bottom of the timetable page to help you with planning:

DAWN WARRIORS!

Hopefully in the studio this year!  Our lovely invigorating 6 am (yes 6 in the morning) classes are available to book now.  They run between 26/5 and 23/6 inclusive.  As before you can purchase any amount between 1 and 5 sessions.  Limited to 4 warriors per class – possibly increasing to 5

ZOOM

Classes will continue to run as normal  - with the exception of my holidays.  Do check availability as Fridays previously cancelled are now open for booking.

I think I have covered everything – please get in touch if you have any questions – or just to say hello!

Looking forward to seeing some of you in April and then hopefully back on track by mid May.  Let’s all keep our fingers firmly crossed.

Sending my very best wishes

Sue

February Update 1

A quick update to let you all know that all classes and one to one sessions for the remainder of February have now been cancelled and credits applied to your accounts.

The date for the next government review seems to have moved from 15th to 22nd February, and as schools are not due to go back until March 8th at the earliest sadly I can’t imagine that gyms/leisure centres/studios will be allowed to return before then.

I will send out another update following the 22/2 review when hopefully we will have a clearer picture of how we will ease out of lockdown.

Some dates are now available for booking as I have cancelled my Easter holiday – 6/7/8/9 April.  We will still close (if indeed we are open!) on Good Friday and Easter Monday.  I completely understand if you would prefer to leave re booking your credits until after the 22/2 announcement.

I will be in touch again soon – hopefully with some good news

Take care and stay safe

Sue

Looking towards February

Body Nurture news……….

The evenings are getting lighter and despite the rain the birds are singing.  Spring is just around the corner and at last there is a light at the end of what feels like a very long tunnel.

I’m sure like me many of you are wondering when Body Nurture can re open.

My understanding from various news reports and government guidelines is that the current lockdown restrictions should be reviewed around mid February at the earliest.

On this basis Body Nurture will remain closed until Tuesday 16th Feb – as Monday 15th Feb was the original review date announced when lockdown 3 was imposed.  Of course this could change – but given the latest facts and figures in the news it is extremely unlikely that we would be allowed to open before mid February.  I have cancelled all sessions between 1st and 15th Feb and your accounts credited.

My holiday planned for 19th – 26th Feb is cancelled, therefore restrictions permitting Body Nurture will be open.  Regardless of whether we are open or closed, Zoom Pilates will run on Fridays 19th and 26th Feb, and Zoom yoga will run on Thursday 25th Feb.  If we are open then the start time for yoga would revert to 7.30 pm.

I will of course keep you all updated as soon as there is any more news.  I’ll leave it up to you to decide if you want to book in for classes and one to one sessions from Thursday 18th Feb at this stage.  My gut feeling is that it highly unlikely that group sessions will be allowed before March at the earliest.  But we just don’t know – I hope I’m wrong.  One thing is certain – WE WILL BE BACK!!!  Just not sure when…….

Take care and continue to stay safe  – I’m sure I will see you soon

Sending you all my very best wishes

Sue

Lockdown 3

Sadly we are due to our 3rd lockdown.

The next government review is not due until 15th February and so we unlikely to be open for business before then.  More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Zoom classes are still running!

New Year 2021 – Tier 4

I hope you have all had a peaceful and healthy Christmas.

I’m sure you are all aware as part of Greater Manchester we are now in tier 4 and therefore reluctantly I have to close Body Nurture again.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting advice out there as to what we can and can’t do in tier 4 – but we must abide by the Government Website guidelines which state:

Tier 4: Stay at Home

Businesses and venues which must close

leisure and sports facilities such as leisure centres and indoor gyms, indoor swimming pools, indoor sports courts, indoor fitness and dance studios, indoor riding centres, and indoor climbing walls

At this stage it is unclear how long we will be in tier 4 – but I feel it is very highly unlikely that we will downgrade again to tier 3 before the end of January.  So with this in mind I have taken the decision to close for January.

Further updates regarding February will be posted once more information becomes available from the government.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the vaccine programme is rolled our really quickly and we can start getting back to Pilates and yoga soon.

As always stay safe – don’t take any risks and we will be back in class and welcoming new clients to Body Nurture  before we know it!

Wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year

Sue

Christmas Greetings 2020

A festive note to wish all Body Nurture clients a peaceful Christmas.  I know for many, festivities will not be as planned and there is much uncertainty regarding tiers/lockdown as we come to the end of a difficult year.

Can Body Nurture open in January?

There is currently so much speculation as to what will happen in the New Year – but for now I am optimistically leaving the timetable as it is with both classes and one to one sessions running from 4th January.

Of course this might need to change – but what ever happens Zoom classes will continue to run from 7th January.

If we are to remain in tier 3 then group sessions will need to be cancelled as they are not permitted but one to one sessions can still run.  If tier 4 is introduced for the north west Body Nurture will be required to close.

So do keep an eye out for a followup announcement next week – when hopefully we will have a clearer indication from the government of what might happen regarding additional tiers and potential lockdown in January.

New Clients

Unfortunately due to the current uncertainty regarding our ability to re open in the New Year coupled with much smaller class sizes due to covid restrictions, Body Nurture is unable to welcome any new clients at this time.  If you would like to go on a wait list to be contacted when restrictions start to ease in 2021 please email me  with the following information:

type of class you are interested in – yoga/Pilates/reformer/private sessions

availability for class – morning or evening?

any previous experience

In the meantime my Christmas wish for you all is that you stay safe and keep well  – and that we can return to studio yoga and Pilates in 2021.

Thank you so much for your lovely cards, gifts and messages and of course your continued support during these difficult times

Warmest wishes

Sue
